Physical Therapist

The CPRP is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our award-winning chronic pain rehabilitation team at the James A. Haley Veterans Affairs Hospital in Tampa, Florida. The CPRP is a full-service, comprehensive, interdisciplinary program offering a full range of pain consultation and treatment services to active duty military, veterans, and eligible dependents from throughout the United States and its territories.

This position will include duties in the newly implemented treatment clinics established to assess and treat individuals returning from Afghanistan and Iraq who exhibit significant pain conditions. A limited involvement in our outpatient headache and outpatient cognitive-behavioral multidisciplinary programs also is expected. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Applicants must be US citizens and graduates of an accredited physical therapy program. Experience in treating chronic pain is preferred, particularly if that experience occurred in multidisciplinary and/or cognitive-behavioral programs. Pain Physician

The James A Haley Veterans’ Hospital invites applications from physicians interested in the clinical care of patients with pain. Candidates must be Board Certified in Neurology or Physical Medicine/Rehabilitation, and should have completed post-residency fellowship training in multidisciplinary pain management. Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pain Management. The candidate will provide specialized care for veterans with pain in coordination with the comprehensive pain management service with emphasis on medical pain management and multi-specialty collaboration.

The Comprehensive Pain Management Service is designated for excellence with many awards including the Olin Teague Award. Development of complementary research consistent with the mission of the program as well as education of students, residents and fellows is encouraged.
